The day-to-day activities

The FP&A (Senior) Analyst is responsible for supporting the Finance & Accounting Manager in executing financial planning, forecasting, and P&L analysis for the manufacturing business.

This role will handle day‑to‑day FP&A activities and collaborate closely with manufacturing and BD teams to provide financial insights that support performance management and decision-making.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the Finance & Accounting Manager in preparing: Annual budget, Monthly rolling forecasts, financial scenarios and ad-hoc analysis
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and BD teams to: Collect forecast inputs, validate assumptions, ensure consistency across functions, and align with business priority.
  • Maintain and update financial models used for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Support tracking of forecast accuracy and analyse forecast deviations.
  • Provide inputs on key risks and opportunities and report to the Finance & Accounting Manager.
  • Support the standardization and continuous improvement of budgeting and forecasting processes.

Performance Analysis & Management Reporting

  • Prepare monthly P&L analysis covering: Revenue, COGS, Gross margin, G&A, and Operating expenses.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis versus forecast, budget, and prior periods.
  • Explain P&L movements based on key business drivers: Volume, Mix and Department Cost.
  • Prepare P&L bridge analysis and supporting materials for management review.
  • Highlight performance issues and support Finance Manager with analytical insights.
  • Prepare recurring management reports, including: Manufacturing and commercial-related P&L, Cost and margin analysis, Key forecast variances.
  • Support F&A Manager in preparing materials for Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, Group FP&A reporting requirements.
  • Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and provide meaningful business insights.

Business Development & Manufacturing Finance Support

  • Support F&A Manager in working with BD team on pricing proposals, margin and profitability analysis.
  • Build pricing and margin simulations based on updated cost and volume assumptions.
  • Analyze product, customer, or channel profitability when required.
  • Ensure business initiatives are properly reflected in forecasts and P&L analysis.
  • Provide financial analysis to support commercial decision‑making.
  • Maintain understanding of manufacturing cost structure, including: BOM, Yield, Labor and overhead absorption.
  • Work closely with Accounting team to: Review COGS and major cost movements, ensure consistency between management P&L and accounting figures, support month-end closing
  • Support cost and margin analysis from a financial perspective.
  • Translate cost changes into potential margin and P&L impacts.

Systems, Data & Process Improvement

  • Support simplification and automation of forecasting, P&L reporting, & data consolidation processes.
  • Support enhancement of ERP systems and Power BI reports to reduce manual work.
  • Support process improvements related to FP&A data quality and reporting consistency.

Job requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing or related field (required)
  • 05+ years of experience in FP&A with at least 02 years in manufacturing environment manufacturing/FMCG
  • Proven exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
  • Good understanding of P&L structure and key financial drivers.
  • Working knowledge of cost and margin analysis.
  • Good commercial awareness to support pricing and profitability analysis.
  • Good accounting knowledge to support reconciliation between management and statutory numbers.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and Power BI is an advantage.
  • Understanding of manufacturing KPIs, cost structures, and process flows.
  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate performance results clearly.
  • Good interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused.
  • English communication skills (written and verbal) are an advantage.

Working hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Mon-Friday.
Working location: Sala with 2 days per week at the Highlands Roastery Ba Ria Vung Tau (shuttle bus provided)
