Brief summary of job profile: The Supply Chain Finance Manager role helps lead Highlands Coffee’s supply chain operations financial activities while working towards performance targets including cost, efficiency and working capital metrics. Through analysis and recommendations, this role is key to driving and improving performance, implementation of standard processes and strengthening of financial internal controls. The Supply Chain Finance Manager will help the company shape strategic decisions, not only for supply chain activities but across the company.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Finance Partnering

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall business objectives and drive long-term growth and profitability.

• Implementing financial strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, marketing and finance, to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

• Partnering with supply chain teams to identify and facilitate implementation of short-term strategic initiatives to deliver budget and long-term plan; Drive accountability and implement tracking of savings projects vs. goals.

• Provide visibility to contract manufacturing, procurement, and logistics, focusing on continuous improvement and business performance/KPIs of operational drivers.

2. Financial Budgeting & Forecasting

• Developing and implementing costing methodology for the company, both in F&B and Retail Segments.

• Play a key role in supply planning as part of monthly integrated business planning process Demonstrate ownership in inventory and COGS financial planning.

• Prepare financial rolling forecast for COGS, calling out any risk and opportunities vs. plan. Drive forecast accuracy.

• Build up financial strategies to optimize the supply chain process and reduce costs. Control the company activities to deliver the COGS saving and control the budget of Supply Chain areas.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between finance and supply chain operations on budgeting and forecasting.

• Partner with procurement to implement material price tracking and forecasting process.

• Oversee the financial budgeting and forecasting of Coffee Factory.

3. Financial Analysis

• Analyzing and monitoring financial metrics related to inventory management, supplier performance, and logistic, warehouse and distribution costs to identify areas for improvement.

• Providing financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

• Conducting financial analysis of supply chain operations to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve efficiency, and mitigate risks.

4. Financial Modeling

• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making. Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and what-if analysis to evaluate the financial impact of different business strategies and initiatives.

• Build up and control Business Case of Factory and Supply Chain Investment.

• Build up Gross Margin Management Modelling.

5. Working Capital Management & Supply Financing

• Managing the company’s working capital by optimizing inventory levels, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to improve cash flow and reduce financing costs.

• Supplier Financing: Developing and implementing supplier financing programs, such as supply chain financing or dynamic discounting, to provide early payment options to suppliers and improve working capital for both parties.

6. Financial Performance Management

• Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain finance, such as days payable outstanding (DPO), days inventory outstanding (DIO), and cash conversion cycle, to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.

• Tracking and analyzing the performance of Raw Material and Packing Material saving performance, driving the.

• Compiling and analyzing financial closing process, summarizing financial results with insights.

7. Others

• Compliance and Control: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls related to supply chain finance activities to mitigate risks and maintain financial integrity.

• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks within the supply chain, such as supplier insolvency, currency fluctuations, or supply chain disruptions, to protect the financial stability of the organization.

• Conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies to protect the financial stability of the supply chain.

• Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

• 7+ years of broad financial experience with 3-5 years in a supply chain finance role. Food & beverage industry, with an emphasis on coffee, tea and bakery is preferred.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and cost accounting in areas of Factory costing, Contract Manufacturing, Logistics, Inventory and Procurement

• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

• Proficient in financial analysis tools and software

• Experience in leading a team or a cross function operation

• Good analytic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Strong Vietnamese & English language skills
