Brief summary of job profile: QA Manager is responsible for designing and implementing Quality Management systems and programs that meets the requirements of regulatory bodies, customer expectations, and company policies and standards. The role will involve overseeing all aspects of quality control, including incoming raw materials, production processes, finished products, and packaging. This role will also ensure that the organization meets the requirements of the relevant ISO standard and maintains its ISO certification, identify or research for continuous process or system improvement needs in the areas of Food Safety & Quality. Key Accountabilities:  Policy Development & Quality Programs
  • Formulate and/or customize quality & safety standards to ensure suitability to business format. Provide organization-wide recommendations that affect quality control.
  • Maintain current awareness on applicable new technology and industry trends and their impact on technical and business needs.
  • Serves as consultant to support functions in ensuring that SOPs are according to set quality standards and policies.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate complex quality programs and ensure program integration with other functions.
Quality Management Improvement
  • Initiate process or systems improvement to drive Food Safety & Quality consistency in the supply chain, identify areas requiring improvement actions and serve as change agent for continuous quality and business process improvement.
  • Operationalize and improve a complex enterprise-wide feedback system that has interface / linkage with multiple functional units.
  • Continuously improve the organization's quality management system to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency.
Quality Standard measurement and management
  • Develop and implement a quality management system that meets the requirements of the relevant ISO standard.
  • Ensure that the quality management system is effectively communicated to all employees and stakeholders.
  • Conducting regular audits of the organization's processes and products to ensure compliance with the ISO and other relevant standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits to assess quality standards compliance and operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions when non-conformities are identified.
  • Maintain the organization's ISO certification status by working with external auditors.
Trainings on Quality Management
  • Provide training and support to employees to ensure that they understand the requirements of the ISO standard and can comply with the organization's quality management system.
  • Provide inputs and guidelines to Training on Food Safety and Sanitation seminars and QA training requirements
Documentation and Reporting
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is maintained and up to date to support the organization's ISO and other relevant certifications
  • Prepare complex technical reports with major impact to business; makes recommendation on improvements affecting operations or project management.

Job requirements

Education/ Training Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/ Chemistry/ Food Engineering, Microbiology or related discipline; or MS in Food Technology.
  • Knowledge of coffee & tea products preferred.

Work Experience

  • 05+ year experience in R&D, QA or Quality Management (experience in F&B/coffee/tea retail environment a plus).
  • ISO certification experience is required.
